Birth Support Services

Welcome!

What is A Birth-worker/ Doula?

A Birth-worker is an emotional, spiritual, physical, and educational support system for a birthing person. My role in your birth is to serve as your point of guidance though the multiple transitions and routes you are bound to encounter through this journey of becoming a parent . I am here to give you the tools, resources, and love one needs as they bring a child into the world.

What is the importance of having a Birth-worker?

A Birth-worker serves as your point of reference during your pregnancy. There is a lot going on with a birthing person physically, emotionally, and mentally, having a Birth-worker allows you to know that you are not doing this alone. We come up with a birth plan together, do you want anesthesia? Do you want to be induced? What is labor going to be like?! What kind of physicians should you be looking for? But outside of that what are some ways to physically alleviate the pains of pregnancy? What are some ways we can check on our emotional wellness; mental wellness, spiritual wellness?

In the postpartum stage, I am there to help the transition. Need extra hands around the house? Meditation buddy, someone to vent to, or maybe someone to have a quiet tea on the porch with. Parenthood is a lifelong journey let me help you start it grounded and intentional.

Dear Birthing parent,

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I hope you allow me to be the first community member who aids you as you walk through this moment. First and foremost, congratulations you are in the process of alchemy. One that will re-position your journey in this world as a human. There is so much going on through this moment of transition. Within the next nine month through the rest of your journey here, you will be challenged. This is a moment in life is one where you met both your shadow and your highest self, what kind of parent will you be?

My service is built around empowering each birthing person as they navigate their birth experience, I want each client to leave me feeling prepared to begin their personal journey.

I began my Birth-work journey after reading about birth disparities in the United States, Therefore the focus of my work is on low-income/ POC/ and Queer families, and these families are given the priority. for my services.
