Idiong’s Holistic Education Academy

Idiong’s Holistic Education Academy, is an online holistic education program for elementary aged students. The programs aims to develop the intellect, the intuition, and our body the vessel that carries both.

It is on these three pillars that “Idiongs Holistic Education Academy” builds its curriculum. The program focuses on development of the intellect, our mind; development of the spirit, our intuition, and development of the physical vessel. Idiong’s Holistic Education Academy is a collection of video lessons, workshops, and weekly online classes aimed at cultivating and developing these pillars in each student.

In enlightening the spirit and strengthening the intuition we will teach students about themselves. Course work includes workshops on self expression, boundary setting, balancing our chakras, understanding our emotional body, and even how to set intentions. In building the intellect we will learn about our world; different cultures and languages, poetry and art, science, foods, global history and ideas from around the planet. We will also focus on the importance of creating and sustaining a healthy vessels, good nutrition, and moving the body. It is a multidimensional program that aims to support families and their students. It is not meant to supplement the national curriculum.

I believe in and am manifesting the Academy because I believe the Covid pandemic is forcing us to redefine what it means to be “human” and how we relate to our environments private and public. The world is evolving collectively with little guidance. This tool is to assist students, and parents, navigate their private and personal worlds while re-imagining our understanding of the physical one we all co-exist in. Amidst this we are also relearning how to raise children into functioning adults. In the midst of a global pandemic, is it possible to imagine our future, our next decade? Part of that discussion needs to be around how we educate and raise our children.

This is a valuable tool for students. Growing up I found myself wishing I was somewhere else, someone else, a feeling that came with me into adulthood. We age and become adults and the inclusion of more responsibilities makes it seem like we experience more life now than in adolescence. Which is incorrect because the blueprint of who are as adults can be found in the fingerprints of our childhood. Growing up we are not given the tools we need to navigate our way through the world, and what is happening in the world reflects that lack in guidance. Survival skills from childhood turn into our personality traits as adults. We can re-imagine our future because it doesn’t have to be like this for the generations that follow behind. We can begin the process of raising creative; emphatic; emotionally intelligent and expressive people.
